		<description>I agree that creating an ideology out of something as diverse and trnscendant as tradition is an eminently modern, distasteful and ultimately non-traditional exercise! This is one of the big problems I had with the New Right project. However, &quot;traditionalism&quot; is useful as a descriptive term for a posture of defence of traditional culture against the modern world. This in itself doesn&#039;t imply a definate agenda or any particular cohesion, although this can occur over time.
